For more than 125 years, Southern California Edison (SCE) has delivered electricity to 14 million Californians in homes, businesses and communities in Southern and Central California. With the aim of becoming a more modern public utility with enhanced internal capabilities and increasing productivity, SCE engaged in a partnership with Vitalyst and Microsoft Services to migrate its enterprise platform from Lotus Notes to Office 365.
With today’s update, Outlook now uses Active Directory Authentication Library (ADAL)-based authentication for Exchange Online mailboxes in Office 365, replacing the previously used basic authentication method. This new authentication method enables IT administrators to configure new access scenarios for sign in to Office 365 and to better control and manage Outlook on mobile devices in their organization.

The one thing my students carry with them at all times is their phones, so I often think of ways they can be used in the service of education. My students use a lot of apps they aren’t aware that can be used for learning—like Instagram for sharing photos and videos, Tumblr for digital vocabulary walls, SoundCloud for building an audio library and finally Office Lens for streamlining class work.
