Office Lens now converts pictures of paper documents into PDF files, auto-classifies

When we launched the Word and PowerPoint conversion feature last September, we promised to use customer feedback to improve Office Lens. Since September, we’ve received a lot of exciting and positive feedback from our customers about our conversion scenarios. We also learned about how customers are finding new and creative ways to use Office Lens and the text they capture in their pictures.

On January 21st we previewed versions of Office for Windows 10 fully optimized for touch and mobile devices. Today, we are proud to announce the general availability of Word, Excel and PowerPoint for Android tablets.

Our journey with OneNote

As our teachers and students explored OneNote, they found an integral tool that takes the ease of pencil and paper and combines it with built-in organization, automatic back-ups, audio /video recording capabilities, word processing, spreadsheet functions, graphing tools and the ability to change the size of the digital paper. Let’s not forget a student favorite—color ink customization for differentiated learning techniques!
