    • Hi Bart – Microsoft Teams is not available to Education and Government customers at this time, but we expect to make it available to these customers in the future. Stay tuned!

      • That ‘in the future’ response has been around for 6 months. GA is March 2017. Is Edu and gov getting Team as a part of GA, if not then when? At least indicate which Quarter we are getting it. Our students are really interested in it. Many thanks

      • So its not really a global rollout. IT is a kinda sort of maybe global rollout.

    • +1. As the global admin for our school district, I would greatly appreciate knowing the roadmap regarding Teams for Education.

We’ve been told forever that it’s “on the way”, but our patience is wearing thin. If Teams is not available for Education on Tuesday’s Global Release, then we will be switching to Slack.

  1. Will Teams be available to Education Tenants as part of the Global Availability. Or does this mean Globally Available to Business Tenants only?

  2. +1 on making Teams available to education tenants. In higher education we try to make our students as work-ready as possible. It’s hard to do if we don’t have access to current collaboration tools, especially with the need for students to work collaboratively on projects.

Also, will there be a recording available? The event will be on at 3:30 AM where I am.

  4. +1 for education tenants. This can help our Intermediate School District greatly. I saw teams shows up in our licensing SKUs but we just want to know what soon really means since we are really excited for this feature.

  5. You really need to release Teams for education tenants. Our users have been asking for Team for months and by not getting it to education tenants VERY soon we will lose a lot of our 200.000 O365 urser to shadow IT such as Slack.

      • I’m going to call this a demand rather than a vote. Please make it so.

  6. My team has been using teams for a couple months now for internal meetings only (obviously). I’m just keen to see if / how telephony is integrated during the launch.

  7. Big votes for Teams in Edu from New Zealand and Australia. Given Microsofts commitment to education better transparency and is needed around roll out when such a tool has highly transferable educational uses.

  8. Does anybody know whether GA will allow for inter-company communications? Currently, Teams only supports communication within the same company (domain). It would be super useful if we can communicate with other companies (just like how Skype for Business works).

  9. Microsoft, could you please respond. It really seems like the care factor is zero! Can you just let us know which quarter at least for edu Aus/NZ ? Please…
