Getting engaged is a joyous time for any bride-to-be. It can also be one of the most stressful times of her (and her fiancé’s) life. One bride-to-be, Ambir, had an unexpected obstacle come up during her wedding plans–her fiancé, George, was transferred 300 miles away. Luckily, Ambir was using OneNote for her wedding planning so she was able to stay organized and keep George involved throughout the process. Here are some of her suggestions for planning your big day!
Get started with a template
OneNote has templates for projects and events of all kinds–including weddings. Ambir downloaded a template and found it to be an excellent resource to get started. She says, “The template was a great place to start. It had everything broken down into sections: one for invitations, one for the ceremony, and another for the reception so I was able to keep everything organized.” The templates are highly editable so Ambir was able to easily modify it to her specific needs.
Visiting florists and bakers and dressmakers and caterers and reception hall options can be a daunting task, especially when your fiancé lives 300 miles away. Ambir used OneNote to take notes and snap photos of the ideas each florist, baker, and caterer had. She built a spreadsheet comparing the prices and offerings of each. At night, she and George would each pull up OneNote and discuss their options together.
Preserve your memories forever
Ambir incorporated OneNote into her wedding day as well. Instead of a traditional sign-in book, she had each guest use OneNote on a tablet to share their well wishes. The bridesmaids were also taking photos with phones and devices that were linked to Ambir’s OneNote account so she’d be able to relive the day again and again.
OneNote can’t make your wedding planning completely stress-free. But, it can help you keep yourself organized so that the path to your perfect day is as smooth as possible. Get started by watching Ambir’s story and downloading the OneNote wedding template today!
