Project Conference hosts a mix of audiences, including Microsoft PPM practitioners, IT Professionals, and Developers, as well as Business Decision Makers and Business Managers.
In addition to keynote sessions, breakout sessions are the main content delivery method at Project Conference 2014. These 75-minute sessions are lecture-style presentations located in rooms seating 100-400 people. Typically, breakout sessions include slides, demos, and a question and answer period. They are recorded and distributed in the MyPC virtual event platform.
To address our key audiences, content will have a huge emphasis on online and Office 365, and it will be divided into 3 core tracks: business, product, and technical.
Business track–Value and insights
The business value and insights track showcases customers across industries, and experienced partners, all sharing success stories and Project Portfolio Management (PPM) best practices. Primary audiences for this track are decision makers and business managers.
Product track–Product overview
The product session track includes content on the latest product release information for Office 365, Project Online, Project desktop, Project Server, SharePoint Online, and more. Sessions showcase production information, best practices for enhancing your project portfolio performance, and solutions that enhance out-of-the-box capabilities and provide integration with line-of-business (LOB) applications. Primary audiences for this track are Microsoft PPM practitioners.
Technical track–Implementation, administration and development
The technical track focuses on implementation, configuration, and administration best practices, as well as developer sessions on how to extend the out-of-the-box capabilities across online and on-premises products to fit specific business needs. Primary audiences for this track are IT Professionals and developers.
Online cross-track designation
With the power of choice for online or on-premises, Project Online and Project Pro for Office 365 are the latest additions to the Office 365 platform that, together with Exchange Online, Lync Online and SharePoint Online, offer a powerful environment to fulfill almost any business need. This cross-track designation includes sessions that highlight the value of online and cloud services overall.
