We're pretty excited over here at Office about the new things you can do in Office 2010. You may or may not be looking at the home page of our Office blog, so I wanted to be sure to point out a couple of recent posts that I think you will find especially interesting. First, our Lead Designer, March Rogers, shared some really interesting information about the basic principles of design in this post. If you have never thought about "designing" your PowerPoint presentations, you may want to start with March's recommendations.
Doug Thomas described new features in PowerPoint 2010 that allow you to have more control over your design. If you don't feel like reading, you can always watch the first episode of The Office Show, which is all about PowerPoint design. You can find an overwhelming amount of information and links about design in general at designaddict.
Once you start thinking about design, it's easy to see how you might take some of our templates and personalize them for your own use.
