To edit a project that is in the PWA, whether you are editing it online or using Project Pro, you must check it out. Once it is checked out, it cannot be edited by anyone else...even by you using a different interface (PWA vs Project Pro). Once complete, you check the project back in and publish it. Does this answer your question?

Great question, Lashan! I think the short answer is that our engineers are brilliant -- when you sync your project plan back up to the cloud, Project will look for any differences between the two versions and usually be able to merge them together. But if there are any conflicts, you get a dialogue warning that task xyz has been changed and it'll ask you which version of the task you want to keep.

How is the data synchronized between Project Professional where project files are being edited offline on a desktop and PWA? In other words, how do we maintain consistency of project information given that project files can get edited offline and conflicting changes can be made to the same project in PWA?
