I learn something new using Word 2010 everyday in class. I am amazed at all the things you can do. I have not been working for a while and decided to go back to school and learn a new trade.

How do you allow others to edit online without a LiveID (which is the option I select in the "permissions")? I share a document, but everytime recipients want to edit in the browser, it prompts them to create a Live ID.

Microsoft shows demos with paid software ... Example OneNote, Outlook. If I have to pay then why should I leave google in the first place ?

How secure are the shared files?

For example, if I upload a document and give access to some of my colleagues, could a competitor gain access to the information?

I'd love Excel co-authoring feature. However, it would be so much better, that I see which cell has the other author now selected and editing.

I hope it's implemented at least in the next version of Excel web apps.

Same goes for Word webapp co-authoring. I would really like very much, that the sentence (or at least a paragraph) on which someone else is working at that time is somehow marked. So I know not to touch it. And prepare my own sentences.
