On February 1 we said that the Office Web Apps (on Windows Live SkyDrive and Hotmail) would be available worldwide in March, and they have arrived!
The Office Web Apps are now live in 18 new countries in Central and South America, including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, and Venezuela.
Last but certainly not least, rollout to Central and South America marks our global grand finale, making the Web Apps available worldwide in more than 190 countries – just nine months since they launched on June 7, 2010.
Out of approximately 2 billion internet users worldwide, there are roughly 750 million Office users. To us, this delta represents tremendous opportunity for 1) offering our 750 million (and growing) customers the best online companion to Office; and 2) offering people from all walks of the life the ability to view, edit, and share Office documents from anywhere with a browser and an internet connection. This includes viewing, editing, and sharing Office document attachments in Hotmail.
If you’re one of the more than 30 million people who are using the Web Apps, we’d love to hear from you on the Web Apps Facebook page at www.facebook.com/officewebapps. Join the conversation and let us know what you think. To get started, or for more on the Web Apps, you can go to www.office.com/webapps. For all the latest updates you can follow us right here at the Web Apps team blog.

How can I find out if my country (South Africa) is on the list of 190 countries? and when you say it is available in that country does that mean that the web app is also hosted locally in that country?
HURRAH! Long live Micro... Er... I mean, thanks.
Why should we join the conversation on Facebook? Does Windows Live network not have sufficient facilities to host the discussion? Yes, Facebook is popular but should Microsoft host its discussions on alien networks?
Just a bug...
Whenever I try to spell check in OneNote, it crashes. Anyone have the same problem who could help me?
