Check out Mike's entry on the Office Next blog talking about the new Office Web Apps and how to join the Office Web Apps Preview!
This year we brought Office Web Apps to the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) to show off our latest sharing and collaboration features.
At the Office booth, we're showing customers how to use OneNote Web App to create a shopping list, then share it with family members so they can view it on their Windows Phone or on another PC. (You might also have seen this on TV recently, in Microsoft's "Keep Shopping" TV commercial.)
It's habitual. You send out a document for feedback, and get back umpteen copies of the thing, each with a different set of comments. And, what if you want to share it with someone who doesn't have the same Office program as you? How will they open that Word, Excel, PowerPoint, or OneNote file?
You can access and share Office documents with browser-based versions of Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and OneNote. Learn some of the basics and the latest features of these free tools. Watch the 30-second trailer below or click "read more" to view the entire webinar.
What you will learn at Tuesday's webinar
Take a look at the new Garage Series episode where hosts Jeremy Chapman and Amanda Lefebvre take a pre-release, first look at the upcoming Office experiences on the Web. They will walk you through real-time co-authoring beyond pure text editing across Word, PowerPoint and at a cell level in Excel, as well as net new capabilities previously only available on the desktop. Watch too as they challenge a local New Orleans band, Remedy Krewe, to compose a blues song real-time as they work together both online and offline.
