Out of Office, Casual: Creating accessible documents (video)

Creating documents that can be digested by everyone is important in this day of digital documents. Think about it: people with low or no vision may have the document “read” to them by screen reader software. So to have descriptions about images or graphics is important. That’s just one of  the steps for creating accessible documents.

Even though this looks like an Office Casual, it’s not. I’m just giving voice to Turi Henderson of the Office Accessibility team, and Harry Miller did the post-production. To learn more about accessibility in Office, check out the corresponding article to this video at Office.com.

  • Which video editing tool is Judi Hurlock using in her excellent Excel 2010 videos?  I like the transition heading frames between subtopics, and especially the red call-outs.  Is that Camtasia at work, or something else?  Example:

  • Excel Instructor: The Office.com team uses Camtasia. The latest edition has some new callouts (the red markings) and then we make some of our own,  --Doug

  • Thank you for this..Camtasia is really one of the best video editing tool I've used. It is also widely used by several companies..
