The installation of Outlook Social Connector is different from most downloads. Besides downloading Outlook Social Connector (for Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2003; it’s included in Outlook 2010), you must download provider files for each social network you want to connect to. Watch this short video to see how, and see the important links plus an overview of the Outlook Social Connector, below.
Note: To use Facebook in the Outlook Social Connector, you must allow a third party application (which is the default setting). If you have edited these settings in Facebook, you may need to edit them again. On your Facebook home page, click Account, and then click Application Settings.
Written instructions are at Office.com for Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2003.
For more help, ask questions at Microsoft Answers.
UPDATE: Read about the January, 2012 Outlook Social Connector update.
For Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2003, you can download the Outlook Social Connector. Outlook 2010 users will be automatically prompted for an update to use these features. Then visit the provider files homepage at Office.com.

Why isthere no video. I can see from the other comments that this is a problem. How long does it take to fix this. This makes me a little hesitant.

Good work, hope your blog be better!I just want to make a blog like this!
I am having a problem linking my Facebook to the OSC. I download and install the files specific to FB, but when I try to connect, I can't see the FB link in the social network account area. You indicate that I need to change the setting within FB, but there seems to be a new "homepage" and the information listed in FB states that third party apps is no longer on the accuont setting. See link for more info. www.facebook.com/help!/help/?faq=18491
Can you help?
Mike G: I chatted with some of the Connector folks. The new updates for Facebook should not cause any problem. Sounds like a configuration problem. Check out Microsoft Answers for Outlook here: social.answers.microsoft.com/.../threads
