&lt;p&gt;1) File &amp;gt; Options &amp;gt; Advanced &amp;gt; clear &amp;quot;Include link to source when pasting from the Web.&amp;quot; Then close the dialog box. Then go back and switch it back on. &lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;2) The URL is only pasted in if you use Insert &amp;gt; Screen Clipping on the ribbon, and not a keyboard shortcut, the OneNote notification icon, or the Send to OneNote tool.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;3) Make sure you are clipping from Internet Explorer.&lt;/p&gt;
