Updated! Office Web Apps now available worldwide

Update:

Windows SkyDrive gets better with Office Web Apps

The Office Web Apps (on Windows Live SkyDrive and Hotmail) are live now in 18 countries in Central and South America, including Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Costa Rica, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Nicaragua, Panama, Paraguay, Peru, Puerto Rico, Uruguay, and Venezuela. As announced this morning on the Web Apps team blog, this rollout to Central and South America means the Web Apps are now available across the globe--in more than 190 countries--just nine months after they launched on June 7, 2010.

With Office Web Apps you can access, edit, and share your Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote files from anywhere with an Internet connection, for free. Visit office.com/webapps to learn more and get started. You can also join the conversation at www.facebook.com/officewebapps, and get the latest info here on the Office Blog and on the Web Apps team blog. And read Office blogger Jennifer Kensok's post that compares Office Web Apps and Google's Cloud Connect.

  • Have you guys seen this deal over at 1saleaday? Do you know if this is even legit? Microsoft Office Plus 2010 can be sold in volume licensing only, yet they're selling individual copies (at a $99.99 price). Here is the link: http://1saleaday.com/wireless

I'd appreciate any feedback you can give on this.
