Microsfot Store iconThe seventh Microsoft Store opens this week in Bellevue, Washington. There’s a slew of events scheduled this week in case you are in the area. Steve Ballmer cuts the ribbon, Apolo Ohno plays Kinect with you, and there’s even a Miley Cyrus concert. (Now, that's quite a range). Every day at the Microsoft Stores you can find expert advice, play with the new Widows Phone 7, get some repairs, or drop by for a class.

The Bellevue store is the first one to open within a thousand miles of Microsoft headquarters, so it’s the first one I can easily drive to. I’ll have a field report later this month. And I’m sure the smart, cheerful sales folks will have to put up with some silly--but deep--questions from software programmers who drop by.

Can’t get to the one of the stores? Microsoft Store online is open 24/7.
