After several months of beta testing, Microsoft Outlook Hotmail Connector 14.0 has officially been released. This tool allows you to feed other email accounts into your Outlook program. It's one of the most useful add-in's I use, especially with the three email accounts I have (how'd that happen....?).

Hi, i am having a trouble to connect my Outlook 2007 with my email server "Hotmail". I have configured in my Outlook 2007:
1. Server Information:
* Choosed POP3 as account type.
* In the Incoming mail server (POP3) field,i have typed pop3.live.com.
* In the Outgoing mail server (SMTP) field, i have typed smtp.live.com.
2. Logon Information, i have typed my Username as the email address and my password.
3. I have Clicked More Settings
4. On the Outgoing Server tab, i have selected My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication check box.
5. On the Advanced tab, I have typed the following information, and then click OK.
Under Incoming Server (POP3):
Selected the This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) check box.
In the Incoming Server (POP3) field, the number 995 should display. If not, select the number and type 995.
Under Outgoing Server (SMTP):
In the Outgoing Server (SMTP) field, type 25 or 587 for the port number (If port 25 has been blocked in your network or by your ISP, you can set SMTP port to 587)
Under Use the following type of encrypted connection choose AUTO (in Outlook 2007). If you are using Outlook 2003, choose SSL.
Until now, i don't have connection with my email server "Hotmail". If someome has one idea how i could have connecction with this, please help me.
Aldo. Our article on the Connector is here: office.microsoft.com/.../microsoft-office-outlook-hotmail-connector-overview-HA010222518.aspx
Also look at the blog for the 2010 connector, there seems to be a lot of talk in the Q&A area that might help.

The hotmail server MS is using is terrible. It is horribly slow for these times, locks up when attaching photos. I will make changes if this isn't fixed quickly. I bought a new computer for improved speed, but having been placed on the hotmail server put me back in the dark ages of e-mail,
I hope it is Office 2007 compliant.
The Outlook Social Connector works for Outlook 2003, Outlook 2007, & Outlook 2010. More here: blogs.office.com/.../how-to-install-the-outlook-social-connector.aspx
