At the MVP Summit, Visio MVP Dave Edson explains how he helped his clients to be more effective and productive with a repetitive diagramming task.
Dave's clients had huge process diagrams that they needed to update monthly. Each update would require resizing and readjusting the entire diagram by hand. Dave showed them how they could reduce all that manual diagram re-formatting simply by upgrading to Visio 2010 and using the available data connectivity features -- including linking a Visio diagram to a SharePoint list.
What had been a huge manual chore became a matter of a couple of mouse-clicks.
David Edson, Visio MVP (Most Valuable Professional), is a partner in Visibility.biz (www.visibility.biz). Visibility.biz creates rich presentation and automated diagramming tools for enterprise-wide, project management solutions.
This year's global MVP Summit brought Most Valuable Professionals from all over the world to Microsoft's Redmond campus. This series of MVP video blog posts features a few of those MVPs and their unique views about the upcoming Office 2010 release.
