Classroom with Mouse MischiefUPDATED 4/30: Mouse Mischief debuts today for free. Please see this post on Mouse Mischief.

UPDATED 3/12: The Beta program has ended. My fault on that--I went by the recent buzz on the project at a conference where it was shown and the site. Let me dig into the matter and report back if/when this will be available and report it here.  --Doug

Some of the Tweets and buzz of the recently concluded Northwest Council for Computer Education (NCEE) meeting came about a free Microsoft add-in for PowerPoint: Microsoft Mouse Mischief. It's a way for many folks to interact with a presenter--like in a classroom, or could be a seminar or meeting. It reminds me of those interactive trivia contests they have in bars, but to better effect. However, you do need extra mice. You can download Microsoft Mouse Mischief Beta and check out the links for multiple mice to work with one PC.

  • I'm going to have to tell all of my teacher friends about this one!!

  • Great post. This appeared as a tweet today (March 11, 2010) and when you go to download it you are told the beta period is OVER! Great work!!! (that is sarcasm if you can/t tell). My wife could have really used this, but this ridiculously late post doesn't help one bit. Thanks for nothing.
