Dear readers and job seekers, Adult education, or continuing education, can get you promoted, away from a boring job, or get you on a track to your dream job. I've found some resources for you, including job outlook information by state, but also came across good questions to ask yourself:

  • What are your goals? Not sure? Learn about SMART
  • Can you afford to go? Can you afford not to? Can you get tuition reimbursement?
  • Carefully consider the time you will need to attend school and go to work. Childcare?
  • Can you get your degree online?

Here are some resources:

The Division of Adult Education and Literacy (DAEL) programs to help American adults get basic skills to be productive workers, family members, and citizens. Programs and grants available for Native Americans.

American Society for Training & Development (ASTD) this organization has resources for learning and performance professionals, hosts conferences and workshops, and offers certificate programs.

The Council for Adult and Experiential Learning (CAEL) learning opportunities for adults. CAEL removes policy and organizational barriers to learning opportunities, identifies and disseminates effective practices, and delivers value-added services.

We have several cool offerings for back to school: templates for students, parents, teachers and administrators. See our academic PowerPoint presentations, and we have a contest going on for creating award certificates, which ends August 28th.
