Dear readers and job seekers: The health-care debate has people worried. What gets me is we're protesting change that hasn't occurred yet! Here's a suggestion: instead of getting upset about change, get yourself healthy. Take care of you. Exercise helps me sleep better and I worry less. Truly.
Find and make the time to exercise. Be honest with yourself about a type that you like. Nobody does what they don't like, at least not for long!
First step is stretch: reach toward your toes and reach for the sky. Stay limber, avoid injuries.
Walk more and drive less. Have you considered getting a bicycle? Used bikes are an affordable option. After you buy the helmet, the lock, and a tire-patch kit, your expenses are at an end.
Mix it up. If you do the same kind of exercise all the time, I guarantee extreme boredom.
Make it fun and work out with a friend. Take your dog for longer walks. Get a dog!
Are you a gamer? Well then, have you considered shaking your booty to Dance Dance Revolution?
I'm not a gamer and prefer visual guides to help me. We have a great set of templates called Focus on fitness: Tools for getting in shape. Learn about ergonomics, BMI, nutrition, calorie intake, and strength training. Who knew templates helped you lose weight?
Get some work-life balance advice from the Crabby Office Lady. She tells it like it is!
