Word questions you might ask

We know a few things about Word users … you like sunsets, holding hands, and long walks on the beach (weeellll, odds are good, aren’t they?).

We also know that many of you like video demos. Here are the top questions on Word customers' minds these days, and the video answers:

How do I change the default font in Word 2007? Word 2007 documents look slightly different than Word 2003 documents, but it’s not hard to change the default settings.

How do I share a Word 2007 document with someone who has an earlier version of Word? We’ve got a video to show you how to share a Word 2007 document, but the procedure is simple. Hint: Save the document as a .doc (the old file format) before you send it out.

How do I get rid of track changes, once and for all? Bob shows you two ways to banish track changes permanently.

Where is that Word 2003 command on the ribbon in Word 2007? This Word interactive guide maps Word 2003 commands to their new locations on the ribbon in Word 2007.

Word discussion groups are also a super resource for getting a question answered quickly. Put your question in the Search For box and choose one of the Word category options for the in box. If you’ve got a question, chances are someone has already answered it, so be sure to look through existing questions and answers before you ask your question.

Word got you stumped? Go ahead, ask me anything.

  • How do I save documents in 2007. I don't know how to set up folders and files in Word, etc.

  • Excel:

Does anyone know how to email one worksheet out of a workbook, not the whole workbook?

    Thanks.

  • I have been working on an inventory for several days,  I always end by alphabetizing and saving.  Today I opened it and it was blank.  I think that it was still highlighted when I shut down after I last alphabetized it.  When I try to recover an earlier version, I get the message tht there are no earlier versions.  Is there anything that I can do?

  • I work with Word 2010. When I try to use the gallery options for Headers, Footers or Numbers, there is no gallery available, only greyed out reference to online. Even that leads nowhere. Any suggestions?
