Last month, I posted a video on how I track submissions in a Microsoft Word document. In fact, I've been using the same simple document for about 10 years. It includes all the submissions I've sent to journals, reviews, quarterlies, and magazines—both print and online.

To share that long-term goodness, I've posted a submission-tracking template that you can download and use. Sure, I even gussied it up a bit (like I said, it's a simple document).

And you can share your own goodness: If you have a tracking system that works for you, create your own template and share it on the site.

While you're keeping track, don't forget your deadlines. The newest video, Don't miss a deadline!, shows you how you can keep a list of contest deadlines (or other important to-do dates) in OneNote and set Outlook due dates and reminders.
