Show me the money: grants, loans, and support for jobs and education

Dear readers and job seekers, Be you a student, small-business owner, veteran, grant-writer, or someone wanting to start a business, there could be money out there for you. You need a smart idea, excellent study habits, and the willingness to fill out forms.

Grants.gov - Find and apply for federal government grants. This is money for local governments, and organizations such as educational, public housing, and non-profit.

Students - studentaid.ed.gov is site where you can find available financial aid, a school that's right for you, and there's a calculator to show how you pay back your federal student loans. There's information for elementary, middle, and high school kids, also for international, Native American, and non-traditional students. Informacion en español.

Small businesses and start-ups - Go to sba.gov to learn about loans to start or expand your small business. There are sections devoted to programs and services, how to increase your productivity, and you can get advice from local resources.

Patriot Express - Veterans, service-disabled veterans, some active duty, Reservists, National Guard, spouses or widowed spouses can learn more about business loans. 

Sometimes you just need help: assistance programs for child care, disability, disaster, food, insurance, taxes, and many other government benefits for those in need.
