We have a fantasy about a Productivity Super Hero, like some kind of Office Super Expert Dude who shows up whenever an Office user needs advice. You just shout out, "Help Me Office Super Expert Dude!" and he shows up in his Office cape, shows you some super cool time-saving trick and then flies out the window, or rides off into the sunset, or whatever. You get the idea. Barring that, we've got something almost as cool. They're super short videos, 15 seconds or less, that tell you our favorite time-saving tips. We call them Office Zip Tips. Here's a great one, Daren Obenaus' "F4 Is Your Friend." (I have a more difficult relationship with F6, but that's just me.)

This is great. I am very busy and i can afford 15 seconds a day to learn something new about office. Love it. I have passed this link to my friends.
This is awesome, Doug. I blogged this on our SharePoint blog today, too. We encouraged our readers to upload their own tips.

Doug, One of our readers left this comment on the cross-post I did on our Get the Point blog (sharepoint.microsoft.com/.../Post.aspx): "On first glance Zip Clips appears to have a very similar intent as Community Clips from Microsoft Office Labs (communityclips.officelabs.com/) where there's a decent level of content. I do like the Zip Clips use of PopFly to deliver content. Perhaps Zip Clips should join forces with Communit Clips to more quickly reach critical mass." I did my best to respond there and said I'd pass on the suggestion to you. --Matt
Thanks, for the tip. Always looking for ways to save time. Keep them coming.
Great initiative, and useful too. However, once the amount of tips reach over a dozen, it'll very difficult too overwiev what I've seen and what's new. I'm afraid too difficult - alas .
Hey, I am only 48, but who expects anyone to be able to read that fuzzy 2pt text in the soapbox video list?
Tried to load Silverlignt - requests disks...
I like the videos, but navigation is a challenge: 1) The title is very short - it shows only a few characters after "Office Zip Tip:". I ended up watching the same video 4 times. 2) Couldn't figure out how to stop a video (6 min in German) and go back to the list - so had to close the entire window and start over.
These videos are great. Keep'em coming!
This is a fun format but I second Vincent: To find what one needs but may not want will become hard as the number of videos increases. How about some structured text for starters?
The videos look better at 400% but I'm 72 and retired and rather basic and wonder what some of them are about!
Cool. This put me onto Popfly, but darned if I can figure out how it shows in Popfly on the widget; and even better, how it can be made into the Vista desktop sidebar widget Popfly claims can be done. (The explanation wiki's title is in Spanish, the text in English, but it doesn't work....)
Hi gang, I hear you about the navigation challenge. The Popfly widget is a little wonky, after playing with these things for a while I think the best way to see them is through the RSS feed. That way the new ones automatically sort to the top, and the feed gives a good description of each one. You can subscribe to this link: edge5.catalog.video.msn.com/Search.aspx Cheers, Doug Kim
I Down Loaded IE 8. Every Web Site i opened and when clicked on Detailed subject, It stopped working. GO back became non functional even in safe mode. I could not delete it. My Desk top and other setting changed. I could not contact Microsoft Technical Help India, telephone numbers 0116480558/59/60. Ultimately IE 8 Help, Fix it helped and I could go back to IE 8.
I recommend that new products should not be launched till tested 100%. This happened with lot of my Friend & One Person Laptop Stopped functioning. I helped others to get back to IE 7.I have stopped its Installation in My Company. We use Windows Vista Ultimate & Office 2007 Professional.
