Resolutions sound so great heading in to the New Year, but how often do you actually act on them? Sure, the gym is packed with enthusiasts right now, but by mid-February people will be eating Valentine's chocolates and complaining that they don't get enough exercise.

I speak from years of experience. I have dozens of things I resolve to do better, starting fresh at the beginning of the New Year, that eventually fall by the wayside. This year I've created some 'vision posters' of things I want to accomplish and taped them up around my house where I will see them every day. I did this the old fashioned way, by cutting out images and headlines, and taping them to posterboard. I realized after the fact I could have done this much more easily by using Office tools, such as Publisher, to pull together images and words and make one print out. I could even create a background for my computer that I would see every day. In fact, if I did this all on my computer, I would waste fewer resources.  That sounds a lot like another resolution...
