The move is inspired by the positive response

re: Global construction company VINCI switches off Google Apps and turns on Office 365

Can we please set the records straight on some facts.

VINCI as a group never had Google Apps. The UK Subsidiary, VINCI PLC, acquired Taylor Woodrow in 2008 whose 1800 users were using Google Apps and after the acquisition these moved to Outlook Web Access as per documentation (published February 2010) hosted on Microsoft http://goo.gl/HYV3q.

Also referring to Flexibility, how is Office 365 Flexible if you have to use Office 2010 or later?

How is being locked into a single country host for your Office 365 service(s) being flexible to a Global company like VINCI?

I commend Microsoft on the big win but let's be clear and honest about it?

I am really confused though. The headline in this story says "Vinci turns off Google Apps and turns on 365" but according to the linked to story Taylor Woodrow was purchased in 2008 and the decision was made to move all the users to Exchange (not 365) to bring them in line with the rest of the business.

So, Vinci didn't turn off Google and go to 365 as the story suggests. In fact that migration appears to pre date 365 by several years. Are Microsoft really that desperate and scared of Google to include such clumsy spin to what could have been such a great story?
