Today's post was written by Dan Norberg, CEO and Co-Owner, Facilium.
Since our founding in 2000, Facilium has become the leading e-field solution provider for the upstream offshore industry. We have more than 90 percent of the market, but we are continuously striving to improve and that's where reliable communication and collaboration technologies come in. Our work is global, project-centric, and time-sensitive. We need secure, anytime, anywhere access to information to serve our customers. But we had no instant messaging (IM) or presence capabilities. We used cloud-based project management software, hosted email, and Skype. We wanted to consolidate vendors and find a single, cloud-based solution that offered all the services we need. We found that with Microsoft Office 365.
With Office 365, we can simplify global communications with interoperable services based on the familiar Microsoft Office user interface. The way everything works together is fantastic; it's so easy to see who is available for an IM chat or audio conference, or to share calendars, arrange meetings, and collaborate on documents stored with robust security online-and it works on all our mobile devices! I wanted low-maintenance, business productivity tools that our consultants can use to bring their expertise to the forefront for our clients. Office 365 lets us focus on our work without worrying about our tools.
