Earlier this week we asked our Office 365 Facebook fans and Twitter followers their favorite thing about video conferencing. While the answers were varied and often humorous, they all emphasized the growing importance and comfort level with video in the work place. (In some cases, maybe too comfortable - check out Facebook to see for yourself!)

With Microsoft Lync Online, the cloud-based audio and video conference service that is part of Office 365, it's becoming easier to stay in touch from wherever you are working. But software is only the first part of the solution, with the second being hardware. Today there are more than 50 PCs, audio and video devices optimized for Microsoft Lync. A device with this label will provide a high quality experience, with "just works" installation, rich audio and video, and a lower total cost of ownership.

The slideshow below features six optimized video conferencing solutions. The devices are broken into two groups based on how and where you work:

  • Room video conferencing devices from Polycom that show everyone in a room and automatically track the person who is currently speaking for a conferencing experience that is almost like being there.
  • Webcams from HP, Logitech and Microsoft that are high quality, easy to use, and add dimension to calls and conferences.
  • Portable Speaker Phones from Jabra, Logitech, Plantronics and Polycom

*Note: You can expand the slideshow by clicking the "View full-size presentation" box in the lower right hand corner.
