Advanced Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Specialists in Denver, Colorado, worked with Solve IT to replace its on-premises messaging solution with Microsoft Exchange Online. A cloud-based email service that is part of Microsoft Office 365, Exchange Online fulfils the clinic's patient confidentiality requirements and saved US$14,000 in IT costs in the first year. Staffers access email on a variety of mobile devices, improving teamwork and patient care.

Toyota Motor Sales, U.S.A. Inc. and other affiliates in North America began the deployment of Microsoft Office 365-dedicated cloud services as their exclusive environment in June 2012. In Japan and other overseas affiliates, Toyota will be leveraging a hybrid model, with on-premises editions of Microsoft Exchange, Microsoft SharePoint, Microsoft Lync and Windows Server.  This recent deployment represents an expansion of Toyota's collaboration with Microsoft technologies. In April 2011, Toyota and Microsoft partnered to provide next-generation telematics services using the Windows Azure cloud platform.

We're in the retail food business. Our job is to feed our customers, and our customers are at the core of everything we do. As Director of Technology for a sandwich company spanning 15 locations and three states, it can be easy to forget this simple fact. It's all too easy to get caught up in the daily grind of maintaining servers and networks just so we can keep our business humming along.

When we made the jump to Office 365 earlier this year, we were able to take our existing on-premise servers and move them to the cloud. As a result, we eliminated layers of complexity, and I no longer needed to spend valuable time and resources administering legacy systems. This has allowed me to shift my focus toward new and exciting ways to better serve our guests, like launching a new loyalty platform and implementing tools to help us engage customers through social media.
