my company has 4 sites in the U.S. with each their own terms and conditions which are flowed to their suppliers. i want to create a template in which any given sites terms and conditions are pulled in based on a drop down selection that allows the user to pick a specific site. can this be done? perhaps a marco is not the proper method to use. any help is appreciated.

Whilst your technical explanation is good, the example given of what a macro might be used for is not. A simple AutoText entry saved to the Quick Parts gallery would be better.
