This is usually when the emails start flying back and forth with multiple versions of documents attached. Glad you're rediscovering the cool-ness of your Windows Live (aka Hotmail) account. The shared folders feature is really handy. A couple of my other favorite ways to share on Windows Live is with a calendar (I share a calendar with my family), and you might want to check into sharing a OneNote notebook on SkyDrive.

@Manyvydas -- Sorry the co-authoring feature doesn't accommodate your workflow. I hope you find the Web App or the ability to share documents on SkyDrive handy, though :-)

Best wishes!

re: Cut your all-nighter in half with co-authoring (video)

I'd need locking to be narrowed down to setence. From period to period. Ok, for formatting it can be paragraph, but for simple entering text it should be sentence lock, not a paragraph lock -- that's too much.

I've kept a Hotmail account for quite some time now but only recently (ever since I picked up on Windows 7 & later Office 2010) did I start to notice what impact my hotmail account actually has (ok, ok: /Windows Live/ account).

NO offense or disrespect intended here (in either direction) but THIS is what OpenOffice should have been years ago (and still isn't). Not making this up, one of Sun Microsystem's company motto has always been "The network is the computer". At one end they made this happen (offtopic here) and on the other hand they didn't succeed at all (referring to the ontopic Office part here, and of course this is my personal opinion).

Ever since I discovered it I'm amazed that I get 5Gb worth of SkyDrive storage for free.

Then I discovered that this isn't merely "simple" free storage. No sirree! I can totally fine tune the whole access level if I want to. Which one of my friends get access, which one's don't and which ones get partial access. That is so amazing (I hope I don't give you "wrong" ideas but I assumed that kind of control was paid only).

So; I knew I could share stuff with others (have done so 1 time now) and here is this video ;-)

I knew you can share stuff, but I had no idea you guys already managed to take it /this/ far.

THIS is the kind of stuff I'm going to bother a couple of my friends with, merely to try it out and see what happens. I especially like the part of "Even if you don't have MS Office".... Oh man!

For the record; I'm honestly excited here. If you don't believe that then feel free to look me up on MSN :-)
