Last week, we took a look at printing envelopes. But often people want to print labels--and then put the labels on envelopes, shipping boxes, CDs, file folders, jars of apricot jam, or whatever can be labeled. After you purchase blank labels, you need to carefully check which size you have. Word provides information from some vendors, including their product numbers, which can make that part easier. The next steps depend on what kind of label you want to make.
See Make a label or a sheet of the same labels.
For this, you can use mail merge. For more information on printing labels by using mail merge, see Make labels for a mass mailing.
If you want to type a sheet of labels and every label is different (for example, a sheet of name tags), see Type a sheet of different labels. You can find the label template that's pictured here, and many more label templates, on Office.com.

That said, the professional ones are also very good and cost effective, it just depends on the quality of paper and printing really. For a wedding it's probably better to go for glossy labels like www.vistaprint.co.uk/return-address-labels.aspx
I tried making labels in "Word Starter". The first label is single spaced and every one after that is double spaced. How do I fix this? I tried changing spacing but it shows single spaced but appears double spaced.
How do I get them all to be single spaced like the first one? HELP

Try using line breaks in between the lines instead of paragraph marks (to make a line break press Shift+Enter).

Every time I use mail merge It always skips one name between each page of labels. I just printed 1,600 labels on pages of 10 labels each and each 11th name in my database was skipped. Can you tell me what I'd doing wrong. This has happened on both my Mac and my Dell.
You can Manufacturer your labels here www.sixb.com.It is very useful service.
It is very nice information. Now i am able to print my own labels.
If you want to check how to address stamps and labels you should give a look to my blog at customizedlabels.blogspot.com and if you want to also check some cool <a href="http://myfunlabels.com">Address stamps and labels</a> you could go into this website http://myfunlabels.com
I am really hating Word 2010 in some ways. I am having trouble finding the "next record" command for lables on my mail merge. So, it keeps repeating the very first record. Any suggestions??
Actually, it's printing each record on a new page as label 1. Does that make sense?
