When I play the video, the sound stops midway through the second slide. I've tried .mid sound files, but they don't play at all in the video. Any suggestions would be really appreciated:)

Does PowerPoint 2010 now allow a video to be played with text and other PowerPoint objects on top of it? I would like to use video backgrounds with slide content on top. Looking forward to your response. Thank you, Michael

I sent you an email with the created video. Your problem seems to be either version-specific (in which case, we've fixed it) or machine-specific. We'll keep investigating, but do keep us posted if you find it works on a different computer. Thanks for all your help, it's much appreciated.

thanks. i got the file. i see you inserted the audio. i used the share feature to create a video file again but still no audio? the process is pretty straight forward from the menu prompts so i can't believe it's possible for the user/me to be doing something in the wrong order is there? i am going to try it on a different machine today and will let you know the outcome. thanks

We don't support saving out sounds associated with the transition to video. The best way to do what you're looking for is to insert the sound directly to the slide. I emailed you back your slides with an updated file. Let me know if that works for you! Sorry for any frustration!

Give that a try and let us know how it goes. If that doesn't work, feel free to send me an email (allhuan AT microsoft DOT com) with a way to access your file. We're very interested in trying to figure out what's wrong here, and that's the best way for us to diagnose. Thanks!
