You care for neither paper nor plastic (as if). So maybe, when you open up Outlook for the day, you don't WANT mail to show up first. Why paint yourself into a corner, answering all those mails right away

re: Start up Outlook to show ANYTHING but mail

bricko: Let me pass on your message to Joe and maybe he'll write back to me and I'll hae an answer for you!

I also got an email from Joe Belfiore VP MS Phone System , after I emailed him asking when the USB sync to our desktop Outlook would be brought back as many are asking for it rather than this cloud kludge. He said it was coming....but after Mango. Anyone have a time frame for the USB sync to desktop like we used to have and iPhone has already to MS own Outlook....?

For example, I routinely need to set up pre-meetings for our President with his managers a few days before he meets with the CEO, being able to set up a meeting with this criteria "Friday before the 3rd Monday of every month" would be very benefitial to myself and many other Administrative Assistants.

Good to remind us that some default Outlook actions can actually be modified.

As a result, I changed mine from Inbox to Mailbox, to get a "big picture" view of Outlook when it starts up (calendar, messages, tasks).

Thanks,
