This is great! BUT Why won't it sync Tasks? This is a very important feature that I need, and I am wondering if it will be available anytime soon?

Help - every time I try to set up my hotmail email account, I get the message 'The installation of this package failed' or 'The Microsoft Office Hotmail connecter only works with microsoft 2010'. I tried to upgrade and it wouldn't do it, so I removed my hotmail account from Outlook 2010 and cannot get it back!!! Also, my calender on my iphone has stopped syncing with my outlook calender too. Also, whenever I load up Microsoft Office, it says I need to set it up as the default mail client. I haven't done anything since I installed it, so not sure why all this has happened. I thought it would be eay to use, but I am finding it very frustrating and cannot believe I paid a lot of money for all this hassle!!! Please advise...Thank you so much to anyone in advance who can help me.

I have just downloaded the latest version of Outlook connector and since I did, Outlook cannot connect with hotmail. It seems that the accounts I use are 'not configured correctly' and when I try and change them I am told that the request failed as 'Windows Live ID could not be verified' Come on Microsoft, rather than make life easier you have made matters worse, from the occasional glitch to full blown refusal to conenct. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling but I still get the same message. Can you actually produce something that works??????

Hello,

I am a rookie here on the blog so please forgive my ignorance.... I recently had issues with my OUTLOOK after what appears to be the OUTLOOK CONNECTOR upgrade installed. My Outlook will not retrieve my messages as the box comes up asking for my password. I set this outlook account up so many years ago I haven't a clue as to what it is...

GKL,

Try manually removing the Outlook Hotmail Connector and then download and install it. The steps in this KB are the ones most people have used to get past the issue, support.microsoft.com/.../2551560. If that does not work please contact product support for assistance, support.microsoft.com/contactus.

I got the same issue that officed did. Any updates on how to actually install the update?

Please try the steps in this Answers forum thread, answers.microsoft.com/.../4b2adca2-3c7e-e011-9b4b-68b599b31bf5. Its sounds like the OLC.MSI is missing from the install directory. You may still have the OLC.MSI in the Downloads folder or other location if it was removed. If you right click on the OLC.MSI file and click Repair that should put the file back so that uninstall will work. If it just errors then it is not the correct version of OLC.MSI.

If this does not work or you cannot find the file, please contact support to work through the setup issue, support.microsoft.com/contactus.

Having issues with the deinstallation of the old .msi (wouldn't work) I need a way to manually deinstall OLC.MSI.

PLEASE -- I lost already 2 hours.
