I use MS Outlook on a daily basis and there is a reliable SMS gateway for this, Ozeki NG SMS gateway. They work fine together and i can easily send SMS messages from Outlook.

I have set up an SMS account at work to be able to send out mass text messages to clients. However the texts aren't going through. I have configured outlook as directed and still no text going through??? I have also purchased credits so I know that can't be the issue? Any ides on why?

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE add this functionality back into Windows Phone 7 and WP8. This is a sorely missed feature since I updated from WP6 to WP7. I will be going to 8 when it's released, and really want this feature back.

Clamr! 2010 also allows you to text, call and check voicemail messages from Outlook 2010. No extra server application, etc. Just need a Google Voice account. Check it out at http://www.clamr.com.
