If I shut outlook 2010 down then when I go to open it again, it hangs up, it shows the yellow outlook splash screen and that it. One suggestion was to disable any addons, I did that but the problem remains. What else can I do.

this happens on the three computers I installed Office 2010 on.

thank in advance.

I have read the previous posts:

1. In Outlook 2010, the Activities tab on the Contact Folder Properties dialog box is removed because of low usage.

This feature enabled you to customize the list of folder groups available to search when in the Activities view on the individual Contact item.

2. With Outlook 2010, the Activities tab will be available from items in your default set of folders. Activities tab is not present in any additional account or Personal Folders file you have added to your Outlook 2010 profile.

3. The technet article is somewhat correct in that "Yes, the Activities tab was deprecated." A complete explanation would have been to state that the Activities tab was deprecated\removed from any non-default store.

Customization of Contact Activity Search folders

---- Will the activities tab feature be available in the SP1 release for Office/Outlook 2010? the feature which will allow you to select a the "Activities Tab" in a a non-default store? ----

We are currently using Office/Outlook 2007 and rely heavily on this feature because it keeps the linked items (Mail, Contacts, Tasks, etc) for each contact separate for each one that is open during the session. The contacts are located in non-default stores.

Using the search feature 2010 creates more work for the customer in that you have to that you have to do a separate search for each contact's linked items, plus you are restricted to strictly email items. Secondly you have to open a separate window for each contact's saved search as opposed to having it on each contact's activities tab.

Office 2010/Outlook - Where are the "Automation" and "User Friendly" features that will reduce the number of steps and windows that are opened to get to the information that you need?

I hope that there were enough posts from other Outlook 2007 customers’ dissatisfaction about this issue and that Microsoft's staff reconsidered position on it.

If not, my firm, as well as many other customers, will not consider upgrading to Office 2010 product because of this limitation.

I will look forward to your response.

Thank you

Computer is in an office, a server exists. Copied all Outlook settings (pop3, smtp etc) from old XP computer (same user) and Outlook 2010 is not showing all Inbox and Sent Items. Initialy I had brought in the old .pst and had the same problem, however I deleted all existing .pst's and un-installed Office 2010 and re-installed from scratch. SAME THING. Only some Inbox and Sent Items show up. All test emails are successfull. I sent several emails from my Yahoo and AOL email accounts. All went through. Despite this, we are still only getting a portion of the emails. I am quite frustrated. I know I am missing a setting or a step I missed. Help!!!

Outlook 2007 would automatice retrieve my email messages from my server and leave nothing behind on the server. Now the emails are retrieved and the emails remain on my server and they fill up my inbox on the server. I deleted them on the server and they disappeared in Outlook 2010. I can't even find them in the delete folder. What's up?

In Word 2007, I had no problem printing envelopes. I go through the same procedure, typing in return and mailing address, but nothing prints on the envelopes. What gives?

When I send an email to a customer the font size changes to a larger font. Today I sent out an email to a customer and the font size got bigger. Then they did reply and when I sent them a reply back again the font got even bigger. We sent this email back and forth about 6 times and the font just keeps getting bigger and bigger. The last response I received the font was huge. Meaning that the font was so big that just the first name of the person would take up the whole page. I tried to change the theme, but it doesn't resolve my issue. Has anyone seen this happen or has anyone heard of this issue with anyone else? I have not been able to figure this one out. Can someone help with this issue?
