The recent release of Microsoft Office 365 is a great opportunity for small and medium businesses to get the power of Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Exchange Server together, for a lower cost than ever.
If you’ve been using a POP3 or IMAP email account from your Internet service provider (ISP) or an email hosting service here are some reasons to try Microsoft Exchange Online with Office 365.
These are just some reasons why you should get the free 30-day Office 365 trial.
Here is what you must do to connect Outlook with Office 365 and Exchange Online.
1. Sign up for your trial here
2. Complete the Office 365 “Start Here” instructions. The first step in this process is required to get Outlook to connect to Office 365 because it will help you properly configure your Office desktop applications.
Note Installing Service Pack 1 (SP1) for Office 2010 doesn’t provide all the necessary updates to fully use Outlook with Office 365. You must complete the “Start Here” instructions because Office 365 Desktop Setup has additional updates that are not available in Service Pack 1.
3. Set up your Office 365 account in Outlook.
If you’re bringing your existing email address to Office 365, follow the instructions on the Office 365 website carefully. This makes sure that the Outlook AutoDiscover feature is correctly configured which is a key step in setting up Outlook and mobile devices.
If you’re using a new email address together with an Exchange Online account , click Add Account.
Because Office 365 does not support Microsoft Office Outlook 2003, take this as an opportunity to learn more about our latest version of Outlook, which is designed from the ground-up to be the best Exchange experience.

I hope you enjoy Office 365.
