I have recently acquired Outlook 2010, and there are two major annoyances that I have not yet found a solution to:
1. How do I turn off Autocorrect and get Outlook to remember that it is turned off? Of course I can go to Options and manually remove dozens of ticks. But the next time I start Outlook, all of the Autocorrect settings are there again and I have to go through the whole rigmarole over again.
2. When reading messages, I would like to see them in the separate window, and when I delete a message with CTRL-D I want Outlook to open the next message. It does not, and the menu does not offer any way to fix this.
PLEASE do not refer me to any general FAQ or "How to". I have looked, and they are ABSOLUTELY USELESS:
I am in a work group with 4 people using a shared calendar (through Google as a server) -- all of my appointments that I RECEIVE are 30 minutes off (early); however all the appointments that I schedule myself are at the appropriate time and are at the correct time on the other users outlook. I have Microsoft Outlook 2010 and the rest of the users have Microsoft Outlook 2007 I believe. Any ideas?
try something, go to your outlook, delete a spam, and look in the deleted items, you`ll be able to see pictures, links, press them, and if there is any active stuff there, you`re eated alive
Why such a big problem about security is overlooked ?
i can`t see pictures in inbox unless i click a clear "show pictures from" , ... but in deleted items i can see all the stupid things without being asked
please create a block to this files as there is a VERY VERY VERY BIG RISK
Time Blocking
I am a Financial Advisor and would like to discover a way to do TIME BLOCKING. In other words, have the calendar show different colored backgrounds at different times during the day and maybe alarms to remind me to stay on task and just work on the activity scheduled for that time block. For example, from 8-9 Planning; 9-10 Call clients; 10-11 Call Prospects, etc. Any thoughts or ideas?
Oh dear. Microsoft posts a blog post about user information for Outlook 2010. So a number of us users line up to tell Microsoft what worries us about Outlook 2010, and to ask for help and information.
But Microsoft is not around to listen, it doesn't even notice that we are here.
There is not even the usual dainty footwork to sidestep the questions we ask and send us to answers to questions that we are not asking.
@Victor Dewsbery, @liz050922, @Iulius, a great place to get answers for technical support questions is http://answers.microsoft.com/, a community forum where you can post questions and receive responses from Microsoft MVPs, support personnel, and other users.
@EdMcManus, have you tried setting reminders for appointments on your calendars?
I receive emails from our legal department with fields filled out. We'd like to create a database of this information in Excel or Access, but upkeep will be a major pain in the butt. Is there some way to have emails with a certain subject line to automatically export the data in the email to a database? I get between 10-20 of these "conflict of interest" alert emails a day, so it really isn't efficient to input them manually.
Thanks,
Becky

I am not getting email on my computer. Emails sit on my server site, I get some on my smartphone. When I click send/receive, the green bar goes and tells me xnumber of messages downloading. There is nothing in the inbox. I know I get a lot of junk (same junk, even after telling rules to permanently delete certain addresses) but not 65 messages. Today is Tuesday, 29 March, last email received was dated 27 March. Thanks for any help.
Hi Bruce: I have more than one email account. I did not realize that the contacts and calendar were automatically associated with the first account that I set up in Outlook 2010. How do I go about moving the calendar and the contacts from that e-mail account to another e-mail account? Thanks, jenniejoy
A video that is missing is how to send HTML mail in outlook 2007. I can not find a quality solution anywhere for this issue. No one seems to know how to do it. In other email programs you can just import the html file.
We just started using Outlook 2010 and the most problematic issue so far is that one of my 2 email accounts does not have a Trash folder. Deleted items are lost forever, for whatever reason. I would like to have a Trash folder for my account, and delete it only when I'm good and ready to. I have tried everything to create one but to no avail. There is nothing on the blogs that I can find to correct this. Please help with this issue!
