Hello Outlook 2010 Beta users!
We have heard from some of you that you are running into an issue with large e-mail message sizes in the Outlook 2010 Beta. We want to update you on the status of this issue. There is a known bug in the Outlook 2010 Beta where the usage of number and bullet lists causes redundant CSS definitions to be included in each outgoing message. The outgoing message might not display correctly in a mail service where there is a limit to message size, such as Gmail, BlackBerry e-mail, or Craigslist.
Restarting Outlook removes all the extra CSS for new outgoing messages, although you might see remnants of this bug when responding to a message that was already inflated.
If you use number and bullet lists, close Outlook at the end of each day, and your new outgoing messages will return to their normal size. This bug has been fixed in later Outlook 2010 builds.
We hope you are enjoying the Beta!

see my link! davidovitz.blogspot.com/.../my-signature-in-outlook-2010-takes-790k.html * It reoccur after some time This is amazing and making this Beta unusable!, i am not enjoying this after i BLASTED my organization with more than 2 giga of emails size in couple of days
I get 10+ e-mails each day from MS employees using Outlook 2010, and none of them include number or bullet lists. Many of these e-mails are no more than a few lines of text and yet they weigh in at over 650 KB each--some as big as over 1 MB. This is clearly a much bigger problem than just lists. Please clear this up; the bloat we're seeing is unbelievable and is going to cause major network issues for anyone who uses the product.
Is there any way to clean up inboxes etc where we have these 500K+ messages, and shrink them down ?
I'm experiencing problems with OL 2100 Beta.
I have two accounts. I'm receiving mail without problems from both accounts. However, the program is not sending the outgoing mail. This problem happend few days after I installed Office 2010 Beta. At the beginning, all worked fine. I have not made changes to my environment. I moved the e-mail files to my notebook, where I have Outlook 2007, and mail was sent without problems.

where can we download a "later build", so that this madness with the huge messages stops?
Which check is is? I turned off "Show user photographs when available (requires restarting Outlook", but my emails are still large. Is this the right one?
Will you guys PLEASE address this issue to more satisifaction? Is there no way you can get a hotfix out to us to help alleviate this major problem? We don't need for it to be supported in any way. The other concern is that I don't see any comments from Microsoft employees addressing the issues and questions brought up in this particular blog post. Do you guys consider this only a one-way communication tool?
We appreciate your feedback, the Office team has been hard at working building a fix for this issue, which you can find here: blogs.msdn.com/.../fix-for-message-size-issue-in-outlook-2010-beta.aspx @Sketchy- Outlook 2007 and Outlook 2010 both check for a default gateway before establishing a connection to Exchange. support.microsoft.com/.../913843 Jenny Liu

Outlook 2010 beta sends the email, I can see it was sent in the Sent Items Box. However, later the email is gone. This is happening sporadically, sometimes a couple of times a day, sometimes only one email out of many, sometimes no at all, so hard to pin down just why.
I have saved all my outlook 2003 contacts as an excel file, how do I merge that into 2010? I cannot for the life of me locate the import export
My problem is with Outlook 2010 freezing in send/receive task. It is hung on invalid certificate. I have accepted and installed certificate however, this was not a fix to the problem. I am wondering why it is asking for certificate for POP accounts. Hope to see fix to this problem.
For some reason, twice now, my email has sent two emails erroneously to unknown email addresses. Has this occurred to anyone?
After update, "Send Status Report" in Tasks does not contain the task details as before the update. Is there a fix for this, I used the feature almost exclusively. Joel
Have you been able to add fix for outlook crashing ever couple email?
