Getting help with the Office Outlook Connector

This still doesn't answer the most important question I have had. Why do Hotmail Plus accounts not qualify for Calendar sync? We are paying customers and that seems to be a "Premium" account in my eyes.

I'm now using Outlook Connector version 12.0.4518.1063 that was released today (09/11/2007) along with Outlook 2007. I was having trouble today getting the sync to complete, so I upgraded to the new version. I have a Hotmail Plus account and I noticed that as of today I now have 10 GB of space available. But in the Outlook Connector it reports that I have 5GB of space. Could it be that the descripency has something to do with the problem? My wife has a free hotmail account that only has 5 GB of space and her sync is working just fine.

Opps, that was wrong. Actually, the problem is not with my Hotmail account at all. It's will my Office Live Mail account on my own domain. And I just checked and that account only has the 5GB size, so I guess that has nothing to do with it.

just installed the final Outlook Connector on my desktop winxp sp2 and laptop vista ultimate, both of which have outlook 2007/office 2007 professional. I have multiple email accounts and am an office live essentials subscriber. since the update to the new connector, my outlook CONSTANTLY crashes even though I have disabled all add-ins and every time outlook starts on both machines I am prompted over and over again to check the automatic sign in block for each email account. All of my email accounts have low space usage as I frequently archive the messages (the ones I don't delete) in a PST mailbox on my desktop. HELP! I am an advanced user of my outlook and my business is dependent upon my being able to use this valuable tool. Whatever is going on is really crippling.

Is anyone using the connector AND ZoneAlarm? Whenever I install the connector the ZoneAlarm plugin for Outlook crashes. Very annoying!!! Outlook 2003 and latest ZoneAlarm suite.

I have Outlook 2007/Vista and the latest release of the connector. My connector shuts down/stops working occasionally and I have to restart Outlook. Anyone else have this problem?

I support Eagle117 - the Calendar feature in Live Hotmail is completely useless as long as you can't sync it somewhere. And with the definition of "premium account" in Outlook Connector you just can't use it in Europe even if you are willing to pay - as there is (afaik) only Hotmail Plus which doesn't work. Is there any strategy behind that?

I installed Microsoft Office Outlook Connector few hours ago. Till now i'm unable to get it to work. I've set up my accounts and everything. Restarted Outlook 2003 also. But the error im getting is as above title. Is it because im behind a proxy server? Doesnt Microsoft Office Outlook Connector uses HTTP, which uses port 80? Im blocked from accessing hotmail.com & mail.live.com by my proxy server

Outlook connector works fine until I try to view my wife's shared (MSN Premium) calendar from within outlook 2003, then it crashes. This is on my work machine, my primary account is on Exchange (2007 I believe). Any ideas? Thanks

Just installed the connector and have Outlook 2007. But my outlook files are not syncing with the hotmail site. Any clues as what to do?

The connector was working fine for me up until today. However, now it is not updating any of my accounts with new messages. When I logged into Hotmail this morning I had 5 new messages. As of yet, these haven't appeared in Outlook. I can send emails, but not receiving any. When I do a manual "Send/Receive" it does a long "Send/Receive" processing of all my accounts, but doesn't pull any new messages from the server. I have tried reinstalling the Outlook Connector, but this hasn't fixed anything. I'm using Outlook 2007 and version 12.0.4518.1063 of Outlook Connector.

I am having the identical problem as Zoom7000. The only response the help desk people seem to know is to 'reinstall' Outlook Connector (Which doesn't work BTW). I am getting 2 different error messages. Most of the time I get error #4104. Occasionally I also get error # 4350 as well. I don't know what the error messages mean, but not having the Connector work is incredibly annoying especially as I have paid for this and the Help Desk / Support people are absolutely worthless.

I forgot to say that I am using Outlook 2003 (I never did receive my 'free' upgrade to Outlook 2007. The Connector version is: 12.0.4518.1063. All other previous versions (including the last beta) worked just fine -- no issues what so ever. I have also noticed that with this version it doesn't seem to check for new messages unless you do a manual check, even then only the non-Microsoft accounts will download -- I haven't had a Hotmail/Live message come in to Outlook for a couple of weeks or so now...

Hi Jared, I have the same experience as Zoom7000. Today around noon EST, it stopped working for me. I am a Premium Subscriber and have been using it to synchronize my calendar and mail. Outlook later in the day told me that 1063 was available and I updated. Still no luck, it says "Could not sign in" on the Button Bar, and the detailed report reads "Error in Mail -Network operation failed". I suddenly realize how dependent I am on OLC. Please let us know if there has been a change and when/how we can resolve the issue. If additional information would be helpful, please let me know. Thank you
