If you’re running Outlook Customer Preview, you may have noticed the Outlook Weather Bar that sits on the top of your calendar.
We’ve heard from you that it’s helpful to see the weather daily as you plan your day, so we’ve added it to the calendar. Below are some of the ways you can use the Weather Bar.
Having lived in Boston previously, I know that sunny skies outside the window can be misleading at times. To help you with more than just the high and low temperature of the day, when you hover over the different days in the weather bar, you’ll get a weather peek. There, you can see more details, such as the wind speed. So even though it’s warm outside in Boston right now, I may bring a cardigan for the gusty 17mph wind.
Over the past several weeks since we announced Outlook.com, we've continued to work to deliver you the highest levels of security and protection technologies. Today, we are excited to announce two important new security features that help fight common phishing attacks and provide you with even more protection. The first is complete support for DMARC, a standard that makes it harder for someone to deliver phishing mail to your inbox. And the second is support for Extended Validation Certificates (EV Certificates), which provides a more secure SSL connection when you are using Outlook.com. We're proud to be the first major email service to provide this higher level of safety and security. Taken together, these new security measures help prevent attackers from stealing your account information and protect your account from phishing attacks.

This allows you to have important or frequent ones near the top of your list, or unimportant ones near the bottom. To achieve that in Outlook 2010's alphabetical world, we've seen folks like you play the special character game. You pick your favorite random character on the keyboard and put those characters in front to bring those folder to the top, like "___folder" or "***folder." Or the "ZZZfolder" game to get things near the bottom. But why can't you just drag a folder where you want it?

Are you working in a team that has information interspersed amongst SharePoint document libraries, emails, and message attachments? If so then you can relate to the problems around keeping your team’s knowledge organized in a centralized location, and trying to comply with your company’s information retention policies. This is a common situation for many teams in organizations large and small.
