Mind mapping tools within Onenote would really take OneNote over the top. While the basic shapes are already there its a little too much work to connect everything into a cohesive mind map. Currently I have to use other programs to produce mind maps then I take a screen shot and paste it into OneNote.

Great post. I am a big fan of OneNote, so many things you can do with it, and especially it help me be organized. No everything around, and get things done, quicker!

Hi, Gil. Thanks for your comment. I asked Michael Oldenburg, our resident OneNote writer, if he had any corporate case studies that you can reference for advice.

Michael recommends reading, How OneNote 2007 helps game developer 'Bungie': blogs.msdn.com/.../9899661.aspx

One reason for their adoption of OneNote really resonated with me..."No training was needed, because everyone was able to get up and running just by using it."

Nice story! And I'm not just saying that as a Canadian. ;)

Can you help me find some success stories of OneNote from the corporate world? My workplace is really email-focused, and I'd love to get colleagues to consider using OneNote. However, I am not sure how practical it is - not to mention secure and supported - for large, multinational companies with thousands of employees. Furthermore, we use a mix of Office Pro 2007 and 2010, but it doesn't come with OneNote by default, so promoting adoption would also be an issue.

I'd check out the Excel video training series:office.microsoft.com/.../excel

They're short, targeted videos that will help you build your Excel skills. And when I say short, I mean a minute or less for most videos.
