One of the unique qualities of Microsoft OneNote, and the reason it so often becomes an indispensable tool for those who use it regularly, is how effortlessly it lets you collect, share, and find all of the information that you want to keep track of — all in one place.
It is the goal of the OneNote Mobile team to make sure that each new release makes it easier to capture and access all of your notes and ideas whenever you're on the go.
Available today, OneNote Mobile 1.2 for iPhone introduces the new search, sharing, and customization capabilities that you've been asking for. We're also happy to announce that we're making the OneNote iPhone app available in five additional markets worldwide today: Canada, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, and New Zealand.
In OneNote Mobile for iPhone 1.2, you can view notebooks that have been shared with youand you can choose which notebooks should be synced and appear on the Home screen.
You can now search your notebooks and pin your most frequently used notebooks to the top of your list.
Here are some of the new features and improvements in OneNote Mobile 1.2 for iPhone:
If you've already been using a previous version of OneNote Mobile on your iPhone, you'll notice a new color scheme in this version, which gives the app a lighter look than before. We’ve also updated the OneNote Mobile 1.2 Help page with the newest information about the app. To visit this Help page directly from inside of the OneNote Mobile app on your iPhone, tap Settings, tap Help and Support, and then tap the first link that appears on the screen.

The OneNote team reads all comments and reviews that you post about the app in the iTunes App Store and also actively monitors the OneNote forum on the Microsoft Answers website, which is the official Support forum for all versions of Microsoft OneNote (including OneNote Mobile). Your ongoing feedback on both of these sites greatly helps us to keep improving the app, so please download the latest version and be sure to let us know what you think of this new version.
And remember, OneNote Mobile for iPhone is free for a limited time, so don't delay!

Woo-Hoo! Available in the UK at last!
Russ, thanks for your note. I'm happy that the first comment about our announcement today is a happy one. We are very excited about bringing the app to new markets. Would love to hear your feedback about the app once you've had a chance to use it for a bit. Thanks again! :-)
Thanks for the great birthday present! I'm a heavy OneNote user -- we've all been anxiously awaiting this update. Already sharing a notebook -- more to come soon!
Mike, thanks for giving it a try and for stopping by and leaving a note on the blog. And a very happy birthday to you!
I love OneNote, but I'm waiting for an iPad version of the app to take advantage of the bigger screen and resolution. Any word on that?
Sean, thanks for visiting. While we don't have any other news to share today, we will definitely keep you posted about any future release announcements right here on the OneNote Blog. To make sure you don't miss a thing, feel free to subscribe to our feed if you haven't already. Thanks for your interest!
Any chance you will develop this app for Android?
Constantine, we have received a flood of requests to also create an Android version of OneNote Mobile. We are reading and considering all feedback that we have received (and continue to receive) about OneNote Mobile. While we have no additional announcements to make at this time, please do subscribe to the OneNote Blog so you won't miss any future announcements about any additional releases of the software. Thanks very much for your interest and for leaving feedback!
I second the Android request! The Android platform is in serious need of a good notetaking app (specifically one that can take pen input). If you made an Android app that included the tablet platform, you would expand the use of OneNote significantly. I would be first in line...
Sean, Mobile Noter is a great iPad app for One Note it is a few dollars but i found it rounds out my One Note setup nicely with SkyDrive, Desktop & WP7.
Why not for other countries?
What about France? I'd use the English version anyway.
Liking this update, but the colors still need a little tweaking, I think. OneNote has chosen yellow for the section I most frequently use, and the white-on-yellow title bar is a bit garish. A small thing, but still...
When is the English version going to be made available in Brazil?
Any chance you will develop this app for webOS?
