[Editor's note: This blog post was written by OneNote Mobile team member and technical writer Mona Azarians.]
Since the OneNote Mobile app for the iPhone made its debut in the United States in January, it has been highly ranked in both the free app and productivity categories in the iTunes App Store.
The tremendous interest in the mobile app, combined with the passion that OneNote fans have for their favorite product, have generated a lot of great suggestions and requests. We’ve tackled some of this customer feedback in the latest update to OneNote Mobile for iPhone, version 1.1, which is available today.
Deleting unwanted notes and sharing pages with others in email just got easier withthe OneNote Mobile 1.1 for iPhone version update, available now on the iTunes App Store.
Whether you are downloading OneNote for iPhone for the first time or you're updating your current app, here are some of the new features and improvements in version 1.1:
With regard to that last item, the new OneNote Mobile for iPhone Help page now includes answers to your most frequently asked questions — for example, how to sync your mobile notes with the OneNote notebooks on your computer. To get to the Help page directly from inside the new app, go to Settings, tap Help and Support, and then tap the first link on the screen.
Just a reminder: The OneNote team reads all comments and reviews in the App Store and also actively monitors the OneNote forum on the Microsoft Answers website, which is the official Support forum for all versions of OneNote, including OneNote Mobile. Your ongoing feedback helps us to create a better app, so please download this latest version and let us know what you think!

What's the outlook for getting this released to an audience wider than USA?
And I am still receiving sync error =(
rmschneider: Please check out the FAQ for the latest announcements about availability in other countries and on other platforms: http://bit.ly/hERQ1m Thanks for your interest!
Alexander: Please visit the OneNote forums to check for a solution if you're having technical trouble. http://bit.ly/h2ZWZ7 Thanks for visiting!
@Michael
Thanks. I've been a Microsoft customer since 1983 (bought a CP/M board for my Apple II+). This is the first product that I'm aware of that is USA only. It's such a tiny problem in what is now a tiny world. I'm dumfounded.
rmschneider: I hear you loud and clear. Have mercy on the messenger. ;-)
Also Android versions? Especially as some reports show Android activations are exceeding iPhone in some markets now. (I know personally, I''m preferring Android to iPhone far more often now, though I still carry both.)
@Michael,
I know you are the messenger :-)
I'll probably not bother. I was a loyal OneNote user from the beginning of its life. But then I got an iPhone and I found I sort of stopped using OneNote. Then I decided to get a Macbook because a) I no longer had an IT dept telling me what to do, and b) the iPhone and Mac just work well together on mail, calendars, ... all that stuff I gotta do. But no OneNote in Office for Mac! So, I discovered another (relatively sophisticated) product that was on both iPhone and Mac. I also discovered a terrific document storage product. Happy with both as they do what I needed OneNote for. But then I see OneNote on iPhone. Yea! Happy to migrate back as I still use a lot of things on Windows. Then I find, "but you can't have it. You no longer live in USA." True, but what an attitude.
Microsoft has a truly global physical reach and presence and yet it fails to grasp the elementary fact that the Internet removes national boundaries. A staged roll-out for technical reasons? Spare me. Are you the world's pre-eminent software company or not? If your smaller competitors can manage it, why not you? I'm pissed off.
glennst: We're aware of the immense interest in an Android version. Unfortunately, there's no news to share on that front as of yet. If OneNote Mobile becomes available on additional platforms and in other markets, we'll be sure to post the news here on the Office Blog. Thanks for stopping by!
I'm missing OneNote on my Blackberry Bold and Playbook. Any plans/timeline for a blackberry version of OneNote for Canada? Thanks.
glennst: on Android you can use an app which name is probably banned in here. It starts with "Mobile" and ends with "Noter. :)
I know that I am not the only one looking for answers to the question of when will the rest of the world see this. Come on Microsoft, When did you post that FAQ? answer (January?) and how long is soon. I've just started using Oneone recently and love it and I'm becoming glued to it. I want the app for my iphone so I can really benefit from what Onenote can do as I am one the move a lot and use my iphone for everything so this app would be amazing for me and really help me so I find out about it through Microsoft and read all about it and think, wow, that's what I need, so I go to download it and find out I can't have it. Only US App store has it. How rubbish is that. What's the skinny MS. What are we talking days, weeks, months, ever? Some indication of when it will be available or a sneeky UK test user group participant offer would be appreciated.
I've been using OneNote for years and so was very happy to learn it was now available as an app on the iPhone, but became somewhat disappointed to discover it is only available in the US right now. So when will us OneNote fans be able to download the app in the UK?
OneNote Mobile for iPhone was released to five additional markets outside of the United States today. Please see http://bit.ly/oMtxUU for more information!
I'm overjoyed that OneNote is now available on my Canadian iPhone. My life would be complete if you would quickly come out with an Android version as well.
