• You're invited: A housewarming for OneNote!

Let's be honest: Corporate websites typically aren't much to write home about. This month, however, we're pretty excited about OneNote getting some cool new digs!

Built on HTML5, we've created a digital canvas (much like OneNote itself) that you can interact with and explore. Simply fire up Internet Explorer 9, move your mouse over the objects, and click any items of interest to learn more. We'll keep adding new content in the coming weeks and months, so give it a try and let us know how you like the change.

To bring all of these features home, we've tapped our Office Casual guru Doug Thomas, who has created a couple of videos that show off these features.

Read the full blog post to see Doug demonstrate how to create a shared notebook that you can edit with your friends, family or colleagues, and how he links his notes from OneNote to a PowerPoint presentation.

  • Could OneNote be your "virtual brain," too?

Aaress LawlessAaress Lawless thought she was a productive small business owner. Behind the scenes, however, she struggled to manage all of the details involved in running a global website. Her desk was covered with all kinds of scribbles — sticky notes, napkins, torn envelopes, you name it. Then she discovered that she didn't have to do things that way. She discovered Microsoft OneNote.

OneNote doesn't just help Aaress keep her business organized, it also helps her serve her clients better. Read the full blog post to see how OneNote became Aaress' virtual brain, and learn how you, too, can toss those sticky notes into the trash and make better use of your time.

  • When notes become memories

I recently chanced upon an article in Real Simple magazine, titled "Inside the God Box," an account of the author's mother and the countless scraps of notes that she had jotted down during the 20 years before she passed away.

We all have those treasures — whether it’s a birthday card, a sweet email, or an unexpected comment. Sometimes, I hear stories of OneNote being used to archive precious family memories, scrapbooks, and celebrations. Read my full blog post for inspiration on how to build even more good memories...
