This 15-Minute Webinar shows you how to get started with OneNote--and why. You can learn what OneNote is or upgrade your skills with a few tricks I've learned along the way.
Smartpens are wonderful devices that can record everything you handwrite (and everything you hear, such as in a lecture). Livescribe smartpen users can now send pencasts of their notes and audio recordings directly into OneNote, where such content becomes fully searchable, thanks to OneNote's fantastic ability to search for text in handwriting, images, and even audio recordings.
Read the full blog post to learn where you can download the new version of Livescribe Connect that now adds full OneNote support!
By now you've probably heard about our exciting OneNote Mobile for iPhone news last week. Many of you acknowledged that Microsoft's decision to bring its first Office program to another mobile platform is a pretty big deal, even if the iPhone may not be your preferred smartphone.
To help you discover some of the app's capabilities that may not be evident at first glance, we've put together a User's Guide that you can download free of charge. Read my full blog post for a quick recap of the app launch and for the download link!
While many of us simply use the ENTER key between lines of text to create more space in OneNote 2010, imported text whose lines you don't want to manually break apart is better formatted with double or custom line spacing. This way, the text is always properly spaced the way you want it, even when you resize its note container.
But how do you double space the text of a document or a set of notes that you've pasted into OneNote? The solution is simple, but often overlooked. Read the full blog post to learn where to find this command and how to use it!
Today, we're releasing an update to the OneNote app in the Windows Store. It introduces a couple of brand new features and offers a few fixes. Many of you wanted better pen customization while drawing and handwriting, as well as the ability to quickly flip between customized pens. Now you can do both with the updated app. Read on to learn more and download the update.
Hosting your organization's OneNote notebooks in a SharePoint document library offers the advantages of organizing them in one location, and the flexibility to decide who can access them through setting permissions. The job of creating a library and configuring permissions usually falls on the shoulders of the SharePoint site administrator. This post shows you how to perform both tasks.
Sometimes you put so much stuff into an OneNote notebook you can't find something--even though you've organized the notebook into well-labeled sections and pages. If you're a big traveler, for example, you might have packed it with menus from exquisite restaurants in Paris or notes about the Egyptian Pyramids you visited last year.
One really fast way to find pretty much anything, anywhere in OneNote is to search for it. Just type a phrase in the Search box.
Do you use OneNote to collaborate on a large team and want to make sure one group doesn't see the budget? Or do you want to share a notebook with photographs from your last trip and want your friends to see all of them, but not your family? Or if your laptop is stolen, what happens to the informatoin in your notebook ? Whatever the reason, it's a good idea to know how to password protect sections of your OneNote notebook.
OneNote is available for all kinds of devices: laptops, iPads, Windows Phone, Android…and now for Windows 8 touch devices. See how OneNote has been re-imagined in this live demo.

What you will learn at Tuesday's webinar:
I know it's still early, but I'm already thinking about the holidays and what an inevitable cluster it is when trying to coordinate between friends, family, and travel.
Don't get me wrong, I love the holidays. But I'm constantly thinking, "There’s got to be a better way to keep track of the chaos!" To that end, let me demonstrate how OneNote 2010 can help you manage your holiday madness. All you need to get started is a free Windows Live SkyDrive account and a shared notebook that you can access from multiple computers (and your smartphone) and share with friends and family.
