Over the past few months, there has not been a lot of activity on this blog. Today, we have made a slight change to the blog (specifically, turning it into the Official Excel/Excel Services blog). That means a couple of things. First, that activity is going to pick up again - we plan on having 1-2 posts per week. Second, the posts are going to come from all over the Excel team. The content will remain the same - Excel 2007 and Excel Services - and team members will be writing posts about how they use features, tips and tricks, etc.

I will look forward to this
We really need this guys - not just old style "neat things to do in Excel" but the fully integrated Sharepoint/Data mining/excel services bloggings. There's a whole new world of possibilities and there are a bunch of us in consumer land just waiting to use them!
I am using Excel 2002. I had tried the Beta version of Excel 2007, but that crashed, and I was unable to install the Technical Refresh. The spreadsheet that crashed the program is very complex, and I have no way of knowing whether it would work on Excel 2007. If it didn't work can Excel 2007 be uninstalled and Excel 2002 reinstalled, or can they both exist on the same computer? I would really like to use the new features in Excel 2007 and add features to my spreadsheet, but I am using it commercially and I am concerned about any down time.
David, could you give an area where we can submit questions and report problems. I think the nature of this blog has self selected a group of Excel enthusiastics (so I presume mostly experts) therefore our problems might not be the normal user questions and for the most part we want to contribute to make the product better.
For one thing, I have noticed similar probs reproted by Murray. I have both systems co-exist on my computer and in that environment Excel 2007 is not behaving stable. Most often I noticed when I leave the machine on for a long time (say over night) then Excel 2007 user interface got all smeared up (ribbons, buttons are not visible) and if you try to click the buttons based on memeory (say I know roughly where the save and close buttons are) and it still works. But I still have to close then re-open. I feel Excel 2007 is a quantum leap and may need much longer adoption curve so your team probably need to take a hard look at this issue of co-exist with earlier version.
Mine was Excel 2000, running on XP professional, I tried to solve by adding memory so I have 2G RAM on computer...running a core dual Dell Latitude.
Thanks!
Murray - I would certainly think that the spreadsheet would run in the final version of Excel2007. The MSFT guidelines for running multiple versions of spreadsheets are here:

Tianwei - You can always use the email link, although I get a lot of email off this blog, so I cannot personally address each item, though I do try to look at a lot of them.
If you are having trouble using Microsoft Office, you may be able to resolve your problem by visiting the Solution Center for your version of Office located at support.microsoft.com/select.
If this doesn't work, visit support.microsoft.com/.../international.aspx to start the process of getting personalized technical support.
Any questions that come up in comments the team tries hard to answer.
