  • Yes, please, bring back the database window. And classic toolbars as well. Even after one year with A2007 I find Ribbon & Navigation Pane very difficult to handle.

  • Right-click-crash bug STILL THERE!!! :-( :-( :-( Try to right-click ANY property value in property-sheet in form/report design view.

  • Vladimir,

Interesting... I don't see this bug on my machine.

  • Vladimir, Works okay on my station as well. I see the usual Build/zoom/cut/copy/paste menu.

  • accblog, foobula:

I have created a video: www.alis.cz/.../A2007-RightClickCrash.wmv It was taken on my old notebook which is very slow after WinXP SP3, go to time 00:30.

  • P.S. I have Czech language version of A2007 SP2.

  • Vladimir, I don't know. Troubleshooting: See if you can try it on another station with the same version of Access. See if uninstalling SP2 fixes it.

  • ...of course my second troubleshooting step is moot since you were already having the problem before. But try another station if you can.

  • foobula: We have had same problem before SP2. I'll try to check out the behaviour on different machines tomorrow.

  • accblog, foobula: Confirmed right-click-crash in form/report view on different machine with Windows Vista, A2007 CZ SP2.

We'll be in touch with MS CZ hotline on monday to record the bug.

  • After installing SP2 for Office 2007 Professional, Microsoft Access will no longer open files.

  • As noted by others, the Navigation "pain" is jumpy when scrolling....except in LIST view. I'm also not happy that the Descriptions of the objects do not display ( from Properties). I read some other sites that it was there in PRE SP2 installs. It would be better to be able to customize the ccolumns of the Detail view also.

  • I'm getting the same issue with the Navigation "Pain" that Ziggy and Foobula are experiencing. At first I thought it was an incompatibility with the IntelliPoint software (again), but after some debugging and driver changes/reinstalls, the problem still persists. Export to PDF is a welcome addition, provided it can create relatively compact *.pdf files. So far, Bullzip PDF Writer has done a fantastic job of keeping files small, so it will be interesting to compare the two different implementations.

  • I talked with a Microsoft tech today who duplicated the navigation pane bug on his station. He's going to keep me posted on status; in the meantime I'm switching to the list view in all my databases.

  • thanks foobula, I hope they look at the descriptions also. I always comment certain objects to either remind me of their purpose ( if anything unique), or problem to fix...also I sometimes used it as a secondary sort/group...basically like you would normally by clicking on the columns...now description is missing from the sort option.
