  • Hi Clint, just I thought I'd fish for some related info. The one thing I would like most from the next version of Access is: Web-enabled Access Forms (using live data, not just syncing with sharepoint lists). It might need something akin to an Access Web Server. That might also be a wrapper for SQL server. I think this might be wishing for too much in one release but I'm really hoping that development is heading this way. Any hints or clues?

  • Darren,

Thank you for your suggestions. We have definitely heard this request a number of times. I would love to talk about Access 14 but we aren't talking publically about things. I do think it is fair to say that the next release will be a big effort. There are lots of people (more than the 2007 effort) working super hard to make something that is compelling for everyone ranging from end users, developers, small business, to enterprise IT departments. Give us some time to nail things down and we will talk more.

  • Thank you Clint for your reply to Darren. That's exactly what we want to hear. Keep it up!!! :-)

  • Clint !! Remember the conditional formatting we have been asking for, and yes!! Dareen c oment is a great idea. If we can web-enable some acces forms that will be great !! By the way, i need to ask you . . . What happen to the how are you using the ribbon post you created some time ago, i never heard from you, and i send you some images to the email you asked us to send email . . . Edwin Blancovitch
